To all players and parents interested in girls' tennis at PHS:
Tryouts for the 2024 PHS Girls' Tennis Team will begin on Wednesday, August 14th from 9 am-12 pm at the Princeton HS courts (and possibly Community Park, depending on numbers). They will run Monday-Friday until the team has been determined by challenge matches. There may be some slight staggering of practice times between around 8-2 some days, but tryouts/practices will primarily be in the morning (depending on court availability, weather, and number of people trying out). The varsity team has 7 players, and we normally have about 8-12 on JV. For tryouts, please bring rackets, tennis sneakers in good condition, water, sunscreen, and a small snack if desired. Over the summer you should be conditioning and playing matches (if you don't already.)
To be eligible for tryouts you must:
1. have completed and turned in paperwork and have had a physical in the last year. Everything is clearly explained through the link here: ( Click Here To Register Online.)
2. have taken the impact test. If you have already tested for tennis or another sport within the last 2 years, then you should be fine. If not, there will be testing dates over the summer-you can click on this link to find dates: Impact Test
